Supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) youth is critical to improving student outcomes. Together, we will learn to employ practices that affirm LGBTQ+ youth, while leveraging tools to support their learning and development within our sites and districts. In symphony, the approaches and tools discussed will enhance your school’s ability to create welcoming and inclusive environments, supporting some of our most vulnerable youth.

LGBTQ+ Foundations 101: Defining Yourself as an Ally, Advocate, and Accomplice
Supporting LGBTQ+ youth is critical to improving student outcomes. You will be provided a space to explore pronouns, LGBTQ identities, and terminology, as well as explore the ways in which biases, privilege, and oppression show up within your practice and organizations. Together we will establish the strong foundations needed to equip ourselves as LGBTQ allies, advocates and accomplices.
